Westbound Landbased Pink Snapper Rig™
A heavy-duty snelled paternoster rig built for targeting pink snapper in Perth’s metro storm conditions, designed to hold strong in big swell and rough weather.
Why This Rig Works
Fishing for pinkies in the storms means swell, wash, and constant line rubbing on sharp rocks. Weak rigs wont hold up.
The Westbound Landbased Pink Snapper Rig™ is designed to:
- Hold strong in rough weather and heavy swell
- Keep bait presented properly
- Increase hookup consistency with snelled hooks and keep the fish on in the wash before gaffing
- 50lb sinker line so that if the sinker gets snagged in the rocks, the sinker will break away before the fish
Perfect For
- Storm fishing for pink snapper
- Perth metro rock and beach fishing
- Fishing in heavy swell and rough conditions
- Targeting demersal species close to shore

How to bait up the rig?
The snelled Westbound Heavy Duty Square Hooks™ are smaller than what most fisherman would usually use (more like a 5/0). But because of their design, they have no issue hooking 10kg+ Pinkies. Leave the bottom hook with as much exposure as possible and make sure the top hook is firm in the bait. This technique has proven an insane hook up rate and when the fish is hooked its almost always a jaw hooked fish that isnt going to be lost when fighting the fish on the rocks.
🔒 Quality Components
All Westbound rigs are made using European, Japanese, or Korean-made tackle for strength and reliability
⚡ Bottom Line
If you’re chasing pink snapper in Perth storms, this is a rig built to handle the conditions and get results.
Strong. Stable. Built for the roughest weather.
